lighting

This weekend was pretty good...did a whole lotta house stuff and enjoyed the sunny weather.

I bought this light on Friday and we hung it in our entry on Sunday.  It was tragic.  It was frustrating.  It was heavy.  It was hard to reach, installed and uninstalled about 6 different times, two different ladders, lots of swear words and 4 hours later...waaaala!

I don't know too much about the light as I bought at a small lighting store here in Spokane and it was the floor model with no box or information.  It is very unique with the metal bands going every which way on the rusty colored shade (looks orange in the pics but is more of a rust color in person).  When the light is on it gives off a nice warm glow in the entry.

It is an awesome light in person and when the lovely front doors get painted black this week and I finish painting the entry, I think it will look smashing.  Oh yea, I am sore.  I feel like I ran a marathon and all I did was help hang a damn light.  So sad, so very sad.
