holy guacamole

We have decided to begin updating our 70's glam house and we are starting with the main bathroom.   I would like to get it finished before the MIL comes to town but I am still in the planning/ideas stage.

Bathroom before:

Ideas:

I am still in the planning stage, however I am thinking about using this tile all over the place--floor and shower walls and maybe on the counter.
Possibly this natural rock tile from Home Depot for the back splash.

Painting the walls with Martha Stewart's Parchment Paper.  On the wall it appears to have a bit more green than yellow to it than in this swatch.

One of these lighting fixtures from School House Electric.

The bathtub is in really good condition (looks to have been rarely used) so I am going to have it painted whited.  I think it will be less expensive than buying a new one and having it installed.

I am also keeping the vanity and painting is a light/medium gray and updating the pulls.  The cabinet is in good condition with ample storage and is solid wood...and I haven't found another one that I love.

I will keep you posted on the progress of the project.  It should be a lot of fun once the decisions have been made.  All I have to say is holy guacamole!
