courthouses

We recently wrapped up our trial in the historic Josephine County Courthouse in Grants Pass, Oregon. Everything in this town is historic, including the courthouse, the city, neighborhoods...and people!  The Josephine County Courthouse was built in the early 1900's and is loaded with history.  It has had almost no updating since it was built.  The courtrooms still have the original church pews, lighting fixtures, marble floors, and swinging doors in to the various courtrooms.  It is just amazing to think how many people the court services in a year, in a decade, in the all the years it has been open and that it still maintains it rich character and history after all this time.

Their are some amazing courthouses/courtrooms in Oregon and here are just a few of the ones we practice in.  I always sit in them thinking to myself, wouldn't these make magnificent houses.  I imagine it might feel the same as living in the White House!
