dogs & cats are better than kids

I am child-free...kinda, I still have a husband, who on days like today make me think I have a kid amidst his terrible tweens. Anyway, we won't get into that and that really is not the purpose of this entry. Lets start over...

I am child-free and I LOVE it. I am not a fan of the two-legged kids but I am a big fan of the four-legged furry kids. So much that I decided to be mom to six, all of which we have raised since they were babies with the exception of one pound puppy. Lets just say I have picked up and cleaned up more pee, poop and barf than any one kid can produce in a year. My garden is extra hearty from all of the waste!

Anywhoo, the following was sent to me by a friend and it is oh so true. Maybe some of you two-legged parents should take note and consider your options...I'm just sayin'.

Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

(1) eat less,
(2) don't ask for money all the time,
(3) are easier to train,
(4) normally come when called,
(5) never ask to drive the car,
(6) don't smoke or drink,
(7) don't want to wear your clothes,
(8) don't have to buy the latest fashions,
(9) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and
(10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ...

I say consider your options. Being child-free is lovely and dogs always stay looking pretty darn cute. And about the husband...we'll save that for another day.
